The Concept of Mind
Gilbert Ryle's classic work, The Concept of Mind, was published in 1949. He says there is no such thing as the concept of mind because we have so many other things to talk about. But he also takes into account an idea associated with Wittgenstein in the 1930s. We don't actually make such a fuss about there being one thing called the mind, but rather how we think about mental activities.
