David Frum: I don't know what a conservative is right now, so i'm trying to hang on to that word as meaning something independent of being on the right. There's an ideological conservatism, which is really an interesting way of describing a specific ideal ideology, like classical liberalism. But there's sort of this dispositional conservatism, where somebody might say, oh, look at this fence. It seems to be here for no reason. Let's knock it down.
