Desiree LaBoe is a professor of pediatrics, epidemiology, and population health at Stanford University. She's been studying mosquito-borne viral diseases for about 20 years. In Kenya she started out just trying to understand the great burden of these viruses. But then we got to the point where once we knew about this great burden, we wanted to start preventing it.
