The Importance of Disillusionment in the Church

Friends were speaking today with historian dr darak teller and this segment we're talking about the necessary if delayed disillusionment of the church. What would catholic life look like in america if the power is the beast said you know what governments are not our friends? There's enough wealthy catholics that could make a smaller more activist church a reality without having to compromise as much.
