Neurotoxins From Cone Squirrels

Some snails have a radula that is like a rasp, so they'll just scrape their tongue across the bottom of the ocean and scrape off algae. There are some species of cone snails that feed on fish. The poison in the high poon that the snail fires into the fish has to work very quickly because there's no point in killing the fish,. But neurotoxins designed for killing fish also work on humans. It gives us an opportunity for some great medical research.
