Astal intelligence community to coordinate a group of experts around the world to probe what food and security meant for socia political instability round the world. We saw this in two thousand eight with food price riots all through the developing world, notably in places tit don't have reasonably robust saftine. If governments are stepping in and protecting their population, then people don't take to the street. But when food prices get high, it is just one more bit of evidence already disgruntled people have that their government isn't actually representing their interests. And they become much more likely to take to the streets.
