Dyslexia and the Visual System

Dyslexia is based in difficulties in language processing, hearing speech and the way your brain represents the speech that you hear. All children go through a stage of the letters seeming to be jumbled up when learning to read. People with dyslexia will always have difficulty spelling because spelling is writing down the sounds that you hear - so it's very effortful to use these visual symbols to represent the speech code.
