In 1940 on VE Day, there was about 12 people still down at all the station. A lot of those people are homeless and getting good luck to them. In the scheme of protecting in London, displacement is more important. 65% of people in London are just staying at home. The attitude of those who are not using the tube is contentious with those who do use it. It's as smelly, tube rats, vermin, dirty, Jews always. You always get that one.
