I think Parliament is a weird place. It's tribal, it's cliquey, it's cut off from the public. You know, unless you're a member of one particular group within a party, you can't get progression. And so if your CEO does things on merit, who knows the metric for success? Why would you want to do it? I've often had conversations with conservative prime ministers in private, and then they've gone public and so it's like completely different. How many politicians sing and dance a certain tune because they have to? Ah, most, the vast majority.
