The Latent Variable World

In an almost bizarre level of coincidence, we started out with Spearman. Orville was alive when Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier in the Bell X one. And what stands out to me in the conversation that we've had is how this has been built all the way up into the 1960s. We have seen time and time and time again in our summer episodes. But I think Thirstone, Fisher, Gossett, Hotelling, Cohen, Yourskog, all of these people who we've talked about, they could open some of our journals and they would recognize what was in there. They would understand what was being done in a master's or a dissertation defense.
