Introduction
Bernice is walking home from school when she smells a delicious smell and it is coming from her house. When she gets inside she asks Papa Bear what smells so good. After Bernice ran into the kitchen Papa Bear said I did make some cookies little bear but what you smell is dinner. A special meal? For what Papa? It is not my birthday yet. And it is not Christmas yet. Did I forget about Mama's birthday? It can't be yours because you wouldn't be cooking for your birthday right? Ha ha ha. No, it is nobody's special day today and we still have a little time before Christmas. We are cooking a great big meal for some friends of ours
