Shilly: Alt coins are essentially venture capital. They're groups of people that have gone o a copy and pays the bit coin code, and are now trying to commercialize it in some way. The space is rife with scams, as you might imagine, because the low bar of entry, anyone can launch a coin and you can sell it. You can just spin up any narrative you want to get people to buy the coin. So it's very scammy. That's why bit coiners are very resistant to that space... Nothing of value has succeeded, other than bit coin.
