The Name of the Church Is Not Negotiable

In the october two thousand 18 general conference, president russell m nelson taught the following about the name of the church. He said that when we allow nicknames to be used, or adopt or even sponsor those nicknames ourselves, he is offended. The principle of focusing on the name of jesus might have different applications for each of us. It could mean spending more time pondering what it means to take upon us the name of christ. For others of us, it might mean to use the name jesus more frequently in conversation. Here is an example from my own family: My wife and i were not mentioning the saviour very often in our prayers.
