Is It Possible for a Beginner to Read This and Understand It?

I was trying to write from the perspective of someone who didn't know Java, for example. So I tried to write in such a way that these ideas would be accessible. The thing that had really foremost in my mind was will it be possible for a beginner to read this and understand it? It can be very difficult. Once you understand something, something changes in your mind. And all of these assumptions that you make and thinking about and talking about something, they just aren't there for other people. You know, if I explain something, what do I actually have to address? That's what I tried to do with the spec monster documentation.
