Is the Constitution a Pedagogic Document?
I'd agree with your characterization of what you say is in Madhav Madhav Koshla's book that the constitution is a pedagogic document. It's apparent in his speeches and his writings that if you needed to have a liberal democracy with all of its limitations, there was no way around it. And I think that that view is held by others as well, which is that India is a country that is seen as, been knighted, is seen as living,. quite explicitly referred to as living in the intellectual dark ages.
Society cannot be designed in a top-down way. Central planning was a historic blunder that harmed India -- even though it was conceived by great men with good intentions.
