The Exodus of the Asians
In early 1972, some of the worst killings take place in Mutakula on the Tanzanian border. Hundreds of supporters of former president Milton Abote are massacred. Up to 20,000 of Abote's supporters flee into Tanzania, bringing tales of horrors with them. For them, getting out of Uganda by hook or by crook is all that matters.
