In many ways, our uniqueness is our destructiveness, you know. I don't think that psychoanalysis got this. It certainly, certainly froyd did not seem to grasp this. He seemed to think that our destructiveness came from the animal in us. And that's a big, big mistake. You spend years in doing zazen or meditation, whele weare to try to get into the now. Try to get a human being into the now and see what happens.
