Roxanne Jones: We perceive through the atonement, but we don't perceive the atonement itself. It's remarkable to the degree to which rituality and an kind of transformational world has been captured by the technological atonement. She says that understanding molecules of emotion doesn't really help you understand love when you're feeling it. "We have to counterbalance those things with the poetic," she adds.
