All Men Are Created Equal

i know people who are skittish about the word equality. I always thought this a sort of golden thing. And if we hold these truths to be self evident, all men are created equal,. ah, but then some of the subtler ones contrast equality with equity. i've a pretty firm grasp, i think, on equality under the law. Equality of opportunity, might be just a bit slippery. More slippery for me, i think i believe in it, you know, everyone with a roughly equal shot and going as far as his talents and ambition will take him.
