Ken Mattingly, Force of Enforce, Flying on a Mission to the Moon

Ken Mattingly, who should have flown on this mission, was a key part of that. He would take charge of getting what we were putting on paper actually to the trainer to get the crew set up and tested in the simulator. The thing I remember that was absolutely quiet because the crew in there were never complained. At one point, Jim Lovell said, you know, Houston, I've been noticing their spacecraft is rolling around and I saw the Earth. That kind of caught a self-guard. It took extra time when it saved time doing that.
