Are You Working on a Next Book or Books?
I'm working on a book on race and the 20th century American presidents focusing especially on Franklin Roosevelt through Nixon. That's the period where it really mattered who was president of the United States in terms of this country stumbling toward some kind of progress on race. I can't say what the conclusion will be yet because the book is not yet written. The reason why presidents like Truman in integrating the armed forces and Kennedy in raising the civil rights bill in 1963 used executive action was exactly that right before their time.
