CBDC

CBDCs are a digital version of money, a bit like a banknote. It could be used alongside physical notes and coins. Unlike most of the digital money people use daily today, it would be issued directly by a central bank. The Reserve Bank of India is working on a CBDC as is pretty much every other central bank in the world right now. They're all at different stages of it essentially.
