Do We Deprecate Speedy?
Chrome will deprecate speedy sometime in early 2016. The plan is to encourage everybody to shift over to HTTP 2. There's very good server support now, like Nginx and Apache all have support. We spent a lot of time looking at eliminating latency during the handshake. It turns out you don't need extra connections because it actually mitigates the cost of TLS.
