How to Raise Capital in the Crypto Markets

The capital raising environment was definitely worse than it is now. At that time, the generalists were not very active in the market. And so you really had this interesting opportunity to do these equity focused deals without a lot of competition. It did help that our former employee employer rather became a limited partner pretty early. So we had some unfair advantages out of the gate and we ended up raising a $30 million precedent seed focused fund back in 2018.
