The Importance of Framing Questions
The question of humanitarian intervention is contextual. Do we know about what's enough about what's going on in the ground? How do we know that what we do isn't going to make things work like what happened in Libya? Who are we actually interacting with? Is the United States going to commit itself to reconstruction efforts and all of these different problems? Right? So power in her books and in her writing, she always poses it as do we save innocent babies like someone has a gun to a baby's head and we're there and do we stop it? And yet of course you say the innocent baby, but that's not actually the important questions of geopolitics. The kind of stunning arrogance
