The Life and Deeds of James Fortin

James Fortin and his wife Charlotte have nine children, eight of whom survived to adulthood. James' daughter Margaretta helped establish one of the first integrated female anti-slavery societies. Sarah L. Fortin was a noted poet who became an abolitionist rallying cry. There's also Charles Burley Purvis, son of James Fortin's daughter, Harriet, and her husband, Robert Purvis.
