The Importance of Trust in Politics
I think it looks a bit apologetic to be putting it out in the way that they've done it. It's not just what you do, but how you do it as well. There are significant changes here that should be talked about. The fact that they're putting them out on the last day of recess very quietly undermines what they're saying and makes it look as if they're a bit sorry for themselves. In terms of does it matter? I absolutely agree with John here as well that it really does matter. We want our politicians to be making the best decisions,. Not with one eye on what they can get out of those decisions. Another aspect is our international reputation as well.
