Phenomenology for Hegel is a discipline and it's not philosophy, he says. It gives an account of the experiences that are made by shapes of consciousness That take the world to be a certain way. And so it eventually leads from the standpoint of self-sensitity to what he calls absolute knowing - which is meant to be then the beginning of the logic itself.
