An app called Lumosity got fined $50 million by the US government for wrongly claiming, basically, that the app would help stave off Alzheimer's. The effects are really very minor, actually, and they're often on very small groups of people. You know, it's a complicated thing. I don't think anyone gets into this business trying to lie specifically to people. It's just that people get caught up in their own hype.
