Central Planning - The Poster Child of the Economic Health Calculation Problem
This is for me the poster child of the economic health calculation problem. It's just completely separating the decision from the consequences. You get to the point where you have somebody who is extremely unhealthy and clearly at very high risk, telling people to stay home or not move. I think this is really what you get when you get central planning. In people's minds, it's like with central planning. But really you just end up with a bunch of corrupt politicians making the most out of it while they can.
