The Miracles of David Hume
In the day and age, you don't got to go very far to find people talking about miracles that are happening. A miracle is a temporary suspension of the laws of nature. David hume would want us to make a distinction between these two types of events. The 17 hundreds were rife with this sort of thinking. And why shouldn't they have been? I mean, think about the fiery train wreck that the one person survived. Why did they survive when so many others perished? They should have died. How convenient, right? Mere coincidence, or the creator of the universe intervening. We'll pick up here next time when we finally get to the bottom of the way that humans interact
