Is the Kessler Effect Really a Chain Reaction?
The increasing great power competition between the US, China and Russia is making space more dangerous. We don't have a rule for how close a satellite can get to another satellite before it's considered hostile. The more satellites we have up there, they spy on each other, too. They don't just spy. They look at each other. And if we start servicing them, the more threat there is of a misperception that could cause conflict in space which then can also lead to a kind of terrestrial conflict as well.
