Does Free Will Exist or Not?
i had some ethical quandaries about whether i wanted to discuss this on the podcast in general. The only philosophy that i do actually have formal training in that i took, like, actual classes for as moral philosophy. I don't profess myself to be an expert by any means, but like i i get the foundations of that better. People who think free will is an illusion behave, at least on average, statistically speaking, less ethically. So i guess that doesn't actually speak to whether people like the idea of free will or not; it at least says something about how people behaved when they no longer believe in it.
