The Women's Movement and Diana Russell's Work
Diana E. H. Russell, she lives in Berkeley on Grant Street and is a sociologist, Harvard, trained, etc. She just did all these empirical studies, including one that was actually funded by the National Science Foundation of 729, I think San Francisco households in 1977. Interviewers went house to house asking people about their women,. Their history of, and present, of sexual abuse and writing it all down. It changed everything so that, you know, this isn't just about thoughts, folks, this is about things,you know, real actual events.
