Is the Safeguard Mechanism Torpedoed?

I think there are a lot of legitimate concerns about the safeguard mechanism. It's no wonder that the coal and gas corporations are lining up to support it. At some point the climate's got to get a look in like at some point emissions have to be reduced. The government needs to acknowledge the new desire amongst the Australian people for us to take climate action.
