A lot of modern evangelism is, come to Christ and your life will be better. It's sort of the kind of way in which we evangelize. And it's all about a better life. But on the other end of that better life is the cross. A political rally can be an exhilarating experience. So what you have is a kind of a cheap counterfeit of ultimate purpose.
