Judaism and the American Experience
A lot of this what i would consider to be almost protestant. It like, you know, paro's christian sort of pseutor religion has taken over the public space,. So i find it personally interesting and fulfilling. I want to come back and read where the essay goes, because i think it so important to understandi contemporary religious life. Every society needs a metaphysics that allows it to have moral and political conversations with itself. In effect, ethics by excels spread sheet is at best a simplisitic hack that illuminates some trade off. Thats assuming society can even do the hard mast of exchanging one type of human well being, or even entire lives against others
