The Economics of Happiness
Economists tend not to think too much about that. We say, well, look, whatever it is you're doing, you must be doing it because it makes you happy Because your goal is to become happy. That's kind of where we start. It puts aside the more subtle motivations and looks at what is it that you're actually doing. So I still don't have a clear handle on the answer to my simple question. What is economics?Because it seems to take into account human desires and human actions.
