In most cases, these type of wone un done referrals don't actually lead to interviews. So instead, what we want to aim for are advocates. Advocates are people who have invested in the relationship with us and feel like we've added value to their lives. The biggest analogy i like to use for relationships is to think about them like a bank account. If you try to withdraw from that relationship before making any deposits, you are going to overdraft your account with that person.
Austin shares the best way and the best time to actually ask for that referral!
