Malignant Plural Fusion: A Late Sign

A plural malignant plural fusion is usually a late sign. Jamie, I'm wondering if you could tell us the difference between a malignant and paramelignant effusion? Yeah, so malignant effusions are where the actual malignant or cancer cells have invaded the plural membrane. If you're going to do a thoracentesis, you'll see cells that are malignant at normal cells. All of those things can cause plural effusions, but if you were to go into the plural space, you wouldn't necessarily see cancer on the plural.
