Klaus fugues was a key member of the manhattan projects inner circle and it was discovered in 1949 that he'd been feeding information to the soviets from day one. He estimated Seven to ten years sooner than if they had just figured out an actual Peaceful way of negotiating working on this because that was a problem with the pot-stamp conferences They were trying to figure out like what do we do with nuclear weapons and um, let's just say this soviet union wasn't being super chill.
