Pliny the Younger was governor of Bethinia, which is in modern Turkey. He would write letters to the emperor and other notables about Christians. And because he's had a list, someone came to him and anonymously presented without revealing who they werePresented a list of people and said the following individuals are all Christians. They do want Jesus recognized as a divine figure. That's indicated, for example, by some of the earliest non Christian references we have to what Christians do. We're not literally eating babies; it's totally innocent but it's also communal gatherings.
