The Changes in the New Tax Regime
Those with taxable income of up to 7 lakh rupees will not have to pay any tax in the new regime. This is thanks to a rebate which is basically like a payback. The surcharge on tax has been reduced from 37% to 25% for those with incomes above 5 crore rupees.
