Ad hominim is one of the fallacies i'm aware of that actually has retained its latin name, as some people will talk about an at hominy. And it wasn't a log a thing, formaly. Its just this informal kind of rhetorical device. So you can impune some one's character or motives, and and that will turn an audience against that person,. ir respect of the fact that you didn't prove his position was false. If satan said two plus two as four, it's still forer no matter what we can say about satan. You've got to get to the facts, ind the arguments of the issue itself.
