Howard Hughes - The Last Person to Interview Howard Hughes

Time-life journalist Frank McCulloch was the last person to interview Hughes 14 years prior to this. He gets a call from Hughes saying that he had never heard of Clifford Irving, ever communicated with him about anything let alone a tell all biography. NBC is recording the whole thing for TV and will be sharing the footage with the other two major networks at the time, CBS and ABC. On January 7th, 1972, just before publication of the fake autobiography, Hughes did the unthinkable and held an incredibly rare televised press conference to denounce the book.
