The sematic line and the germ line are different. One is for sexual reproduction and one is for development of the body. By keeping these separate, it allows the body to be adaptive to various normal stresses, injuries, wounds,. And yet, the germ line that's used for sexual reproduction remains the same. So when the bodies developing or repairing in their mutations, or if thereis cancer or any other process, those genetic and genomic changes do not actually it passed under the germ line.
