Do You Need an SSP?

Right now programmatic can only be served by hosting platforms that offer dynamic ad insertion and accept vast tags. The concept of an SSP being required isn't as ingrained because if a publisher just knows they have to set up a campaign the options for the campaign are this is always on and somebody might respond to it with an ad.
