The Importance of Carousels
Carousels solve a very real internal stakeholder issue of everyone wants everything on the top of the homepage. It doesn't matter how much data you show the stakeholders, they're still going to want to carousel. People need to figure out how to talk to each other and prioritize what users need rather than showing all their crap in a carousel.
