Is the Network Effect Going On?
An organization is a deep network. There are all sorts of cross connections. People who are not that senior, who have a huge influence, may be extroverts. That has a disproportionate effect compared to some very introverted senior manager somewhere. So if you're setting out on a big organizational change, then it makes sense to start by thinking about what network effects might be in play.
