The Paradox of Transfer of Learning

There is some evidence that people appear to be doing transfer of learning in day-to-day life. The trouble is when it comes to things that are learned in a classroom, those are often not transferred. If you remove the classroom and do it in the garden, then suddenly you'll be able to generalize everything. But I'm going to focus more on what we really know - knowledge and expertise. And number two is something along the lines of spirit or disposition or attitude or culture.
